Windsor highlight
Growing community identity
Incorporated in 1992, Windsor transformed from unincorporated county land into a distinct municipality of 26,000 residents within a generation.

Windsor incorporated as a city on July 1, 1992, after decades as unincorporated Sonoma County territory. The incorporation marked a turning point: from that moment forward, Windsor residents governed themselves through a city council and municipal services, and the community began building civic institutions and identity. The transition from unincorporated to incorporated status meant new roads, parks, services and a growing sense that Windsor was not just a geographic location but a place with its own voice and future.
In the three decades since incorporation, Windsor has grown steadily into a 26,000-person community with the infrastructure and institutions of a fully realized town. Schools, public services, parks, and civic events all reflect a maturing community where people choose to raise families and build careers. The identity that was uncertain in 1992 is now established: Windsor is known as a livable, family-friendly Sonoma County town with genuine municipal character.
Growing communities attract young families and people at life-changing moments—new jobs, new homes, new children. These are exactly the moments when a term life policy becomes necessary. As Windsor's population stabilized and matured, the families who chose to stay and build lives there moved through the stages where insurance choices matter most: first homes, young children, expanding responsibility. A policy chosen now can protect what the next decades will build.
